Soft Pastels are fabulous for creating great backgrounds in your journal without the associated problems of warping caused by wet media. Using PanPastel you can easily create a dramatic background that will accept other media over the top, and can also be erased in places to highlight specific areas
Depending on the effect you are creating, you can either rub the pastel with a clean dry cloth after application, or use a fixative to ensure it does not rub off onto adjoining pages.

Please note the pans in the sets of 20 screw together in three stacks for storage, with three lids supplied for the top pans, making them very space efficient and easy to transport.
